Adorned with some bistro booths, kitschy French art and an old Citroen 2CV by the door, Belle Vie is a French haven in West LA. Serving a Franco-Californian menu, Californian Farmers Market produce is the base for ancestral French techniques. Happy hours is every day from 4pm to 7pm.
The restaurant with modern steakhouse-inspired fare, serves happy hour Monday-Friday, with a selection of globally-inspired small bites and cocktails. Bites include: bacon popcorn, cauliflower wings, lobster tater tots and drinks include: BOA infusion, Fleetwood margarita and the Luckman martini.
FIG Restaurant, located inside the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica is a seasonal, Mediterranean-influenced bistro, serving wood-fired dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients from hand-selected farmers and purveyors in California. Chef Yousef Ghalaini invites guests to their daily FIG at five for half off most menu items from 5pm-6pm. Tocaya Organica is a fresh casual restaurant with indoor/outdoor patio seating serves modern organic Mexican cuisine with a chef-driven menu. Using locally-sourced organic ingredients and a menu for a variety of dietary preferences, happy hour occurs Monday through Friday 3pm-6pm. Enjoy $7 margaritas, including a skinny and flavors like pomegranate and strawberry, $5 beers, and 2-for-1 tacos.
Held every Monday-Friday from 4pm – 6pm in the bar, lounge, and patio, Tallula’s offers a happy hour not to be missed. A menu that is subject to change includes food like the nachos sencillo and mushroom & pepper jack empanadas while featured happy hour drinks include the Tallula’s margarita, wines and hibiscus agua frescas.
Napa Valley Grille
Westwood Village eatery Napa Valley Grille boasts two happy hours happening daily 3pm to 6pm and 9pm to close. They serve a menu full of local, seasonal ingredients, artisan products and a selection of the restaurant’s proprietary Tavistock regional wines & specialty cocktails. Features include the spicy tuna tartare, chilled west coast oysters, wagyu beef meatballs, crispy fish taco and the funny word for grapefruit cocktail.
Those plugging away in Silicon Beach can swing by Chaya Venice for a drink and some nosh for happy hour served nightly from 5 pm to close. In the restaurant’s stylish atmosphere, choose between a selection of specially priced snacks, cocktails, sake, beer and wine.
Located in front of the ocean, Red O in Santa Monica is open for Happy Hour daily from 4pm-7pm. Sit back and enjoy the view along with a wide selection of specially priced appetizers to satisfy your hunger as well as a nice selection of cocktails, wines, and beers to quench your thirst.
Lunetta All Day
Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, Lunetta All Day serves comfort food happy hour Monday through Friday 4pm-6pm. All draft beer is $5, $6-7 wine by the class, $7-$8 cocktails and snacks starting at $7 like the crispy chicken wings, grilled octopus tacos and rock shrimp ceviche.
Esters Wine Shop & Bar
Known for stocking Esters Wine Shop & Bar with intriguing wines from small producers all over the world, co-owner Kathryn Coker offers happy hour Monday through Saturday 4pm-6pm. Their happy hour menu is subject to change but offers a daily beer $5, daily cocktail $8, house wine $9 and snacks starting at $10 and half dozen oysters for $15.
Charcoal Venice is a grill-centric neighborhood restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Josiah Citrin offers two happy hours one is called the evening glass off and the other is last bites. The evening glass off is offered Tuesday through Saturday 530pm-7pm and Sundays 5pm-7pm with a selection of bites from $2-$9 and wine, beer and cocktails from $5-$9. Last bites is offered Tuesday to Thursday 930pm-1030pm and Saturdays and Sundays 10pm-1130pm with $3-14 bites and drinks $7-$9.
Margo’s offers a daily social hour from 3pm-7pm complete with cocktails, beer and wine, as well as a range of full size menu items. They are only one of two restaurants with a full liquor license on Montana Ave. and during social hour features $8 cocktails like the L.A. Ferrari and walk of shame that can be paired with food items like the signature bacon cheeseburger, an arugula salad, a Caesar salad and the burrata panzanella.
The beach-friendly craft beer garden and brick bar Ashland Hill on Main Street in Santa Monica’s serves a daily social hour from 3pm-6pm Monday through Friday. Ashland Hill’s menu includes seasonal gourmet bar bites, small plates and sharable entrees along with $6 draft beers, $6 well drinks, $6 house gin & tonics and $6 draft wines
Art’s Table, the popular New American restaurant on the corner of 10th and Montana, is a neighborhood fixture serving a daily social hour from 3pm-6pm. The menu features a range of mini bites like chef style sliders and 1002 calamari as well as a selection of $6 beer, wine and cocktails.
Surfside Venice Bar + Grill
This laid-back beachy sports bar serves happy hour Monday through Friday 3pm-7pm. Founding chef, Jesse Guiterrez’s menu includes $5 drinks including beer, wine and cocktails like the Windward Ave and $6 food specials. Try items like their Korean fries, LA street corn, Surfside nachos and more.
The Chestnut Club
Brought to Santa Monica by Steve Livigni and Pablo Moix, The Chestnut Club in Santa Monica provides a place for locals and LA residents to grab great cocktails and small bites. The inviting and intimate space has happy hour specials every day from 5pm-7pm including hand crafted cocktails like the gold rush and small plates like the deep fried soft pretzel.
Located above Los Angeles’s critically acclaimed and largest wine store, The Wine House, Upstairs 2 is an exclusive and intimate restaurant and wine bar, spearheaded by Executive Chef Maiki Le. Offering an unrivaled authentic dining experience their rush hour 1.5 menu is offered Wednesday through Saturday 5pm-10pm. Wine pairing offerings are offered to dishes which include: jidori chicken lettuce wraps, apricot bbq pork sliders and cervena venison meatballs
fundamental LA is an intimate restaurant space that works double-duty creating two completely different atmospheres for lunch and dinner. With produce inspired by the seasons and thoughtfully sourced beer and wine, happy hour is offered Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30pm-6:30pm. The menu features $5 beers, $7 wines and snacks such as $4 cornbread, $13 cheese with seasonal accoutrement and their burger for $11.
The Brentwood-based sustainable seafood restaurant recently debuted a first call menu at the bar. Available weekdays from 5pm-7pm, the menu offers a selection of bites from the restaurant’s impressive raw bar such as $2 oysters, in addition to smoked salmon deviled eggs, fried oyster sliders and a seabass ceviche tostada, all priced under $10. Guests can also enjoy specially priced sparkling wine and wines-by-the-glass, beer and craft cocktails, like the tequila-based Jalisco 75.
Located in The Seychelle at Ocean Avenue South, Herringbone Santa Monica features ocean to table flavors with an emphasis on line-caught seafood and high-quality meats. Every Monday-Friday from 4pm-7pm, Herringbone hosts their weekday happy hour, also known as oyster hour which features $1 oysters and discounted bites including favorites like the baja stone crab and Bay shrimp louie toast, braised mussels and arancini.
Tiato, the newest restaurant from the House of AN and Crustacean Beverly Hills’ sister eatery, recently launched its Tiato at sunset happy hour. From 4-7pm every Tuesday to Thursday, guests can eat and drink on one of the largest outdoor patio’s on the Westside surrounded by Tiato’s on-site, functional herb garden. The happy hour menu features gourmet affordable bites from chef Helene An including: chicken bahn mi sliders $9, Tiato nachos (w/ vegan cheese) $7 and cocktails $8 using herbs from its on-site herb garden including a Tiato cucumber martini, draft beers start at $6 and glasses of wine range from $5-$7.
